Program Structure
The fellowship operates through a structured cohort model designed to provide progressive skill development and leadership growth. Participants advance through a tiered development framework that moves from foundational instruction to applied practice and ultimately to leadership and execution.
Foundation
Participants build communication skills, media literacy, professionalism, and confidence while learning the fundamentals of storytelling and media production.
Applied Development
Participants begin contributing to content development, structured discussions, community storytelling projects, and media production activities while strengthening communication and collaboration skills.
Leadership & Execution
Participants assume greater responsibility by helping lead projects, organize content, guide discussions, and contribute to public-facing media initiatives.

The Southside Voices Youth Media Fellowship Program serves high school students interested in leadership development, media production, storytelling, community engagement, and professional growth.
